How long have you been in business?
Our company was started by Benedict Messner in 1962. Our first retail store opened in 1978 and the commercial division spun off in 1998 and became Messner Flooring Re:Source.
What is your primary product or service?
All categories of floor coverings including carpeting, area rugs, hardwood flooring, vinyl, cork, laminate, ceramic and bamboo flooring.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After growing up in the industry I completed my business management studies at St. John Fisher College. `
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We focus on the process of completing our work in customers homes and strive for continual improvement.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Three. Our University Avenue location is strictly commercial. We expanded to our Ridge Road location in the fall of 2015. Our standards are very high and when we can replicate the level of service that we expect we will expand again.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are on Monroe Ave. near the four corners of Pittsford. For people who have been in the community for a long time they will remember our building as the old Post Office. Our Greece store is on West Ridge Road between Long Pond and Wegmans.
What type of payments do you accept?
Visa; MasterCard, and Amex.
Which areas do you service?
We focus on the counties surrounding Rochester and the Finger Lakes.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our company is owned by brothers Peter and Gregory Messner. Peter is the President of the Corporation and manages the daily activities of Messner Re:Source while Greg manages the Pittsford retail store while Shawn Davis manages the Greece location.
What are your hours of operation?
We open six days a week at 9:30. We are open till 8:00 on Mondays and Thursdays. We close at 5:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 5:00 on Friday and Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and Holidays.
